Air Fryer Churro Bites

Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, these Air Fryer Churro Bites are a delightful, easy-to-make dessert perfect for satisfying your sweet cravings quickly and with less oil.

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • Non-stick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine water, 2 tablespoons sugar, salt, and vegetable oil. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Remove from heat and immediately stir in the flour until a dough forms and pulls away from the sides.
  3. Allow the dough to cool for 5 minutes, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Transfer the dough to a mixing bowl and beat in eggs one at a time until smooth.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Using a small spoon or piping bag, portion small bite-sized dough pieces onto a parchment-lined tray.
  7. Spray the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray and carefully place bites inside in a single layer, working in batches.
  8. Air fry for 8–10 minutes or until golden brown and puffed, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
  9. Combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  10. Immediately toss the hot churro bites in the cinnamon sugar mixture until well coated.
  11. Serve warm for best taste.
