Crispy and golden Air Fryer Fries offer a healthier, delicious alternative to traditional fried potatoes, perfect as a snack or side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into evenly sized fries.
  2. Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  3. Drain and thoroughly pat the fries dry with a clean towel.
  4. Toss the fries in olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 5 minutes.
  6. Place the fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding.
  7. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
  8. Remove when fries are golden and crispy. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crispiness, soak the fries longer and try finishing with a quick spray of oil before the last few minutes of cooking.
