These Apple Butter Brie Bites are a delightful combination of sweet and savory, perfect for holiday appetizers or a simple autumn snack. Flaky puff pastry cups filled with creamy brie and topped with rich apple butter create an irresistible bite-sized treat.

  • 1 sheet (14.1 oz) puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz brie cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 1/2 cup apple butter
  • 1 tablespoon chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly grease a mini muffin tin.
  3. Unfold the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  4. Using a 2-inch round cutter or knife, cut out circles from the puff pastry.
  5. Gently press each circle into the mini muffin tin cups.
  6. Place a few cubes of brie cheese into each puff pastry cup.
  7. Top each cup with a spoonful of apple butter.
  8. If desired, sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts over the apple butter.
  9. Brush the edges of the puff pastry with the beaten egg.
  10. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and the brie is melted.
  11. Let cool slightly in the muffin tin before transferring to a serving plate.
  12. Serve warm.

Notes

For an extra touch, drizzle with a little honey after baking. These are best served warm but can be reheated briefly in the oven.
