Beef Burger

A juicy and flavorful beef burger grilled to perfection, served with fresh toppings and a soft bun for a classic American favorite.

  • 1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Onion slices
  • Pickles
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard
  • Mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
  2. Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions and gently form into patties about 3/4 inch thick.
  3. Season both sides of each patty with salt and black pepper.
  4. Place patties on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium doneness.
  5. If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking and cover to melt.
  6. Toast the hamburger buns lightly on the grill.
  7. Assemble the burger by spreading mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard on the buns as desired, then layering the lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and beef patty.
  8. Serve immediately while hot and juicy.

Notes

For an extra smoky flavor, consider adding a slice of crispy bacon or using smoked paprika in the beef mixture.
