This classic Broccoli Cheese Casserole is a comforting and easy side dish perfect for any occasion. Tender broccoli florets are baked in a creamy, cheesy sauce for a family favorite.

  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen broccoli florets, thawed
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1/4 cup buttered bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the thawed broccoli, mayonnaise, cream of mushroom soup, cheddar cheese, onion, and garlic powder. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased 8×8 inch baking dish.
  4. Optional: Sprinkle buttered bread crumbs over the top.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Let stand for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use a combination of cheddar and Gruyere cheese. Serve hot as a side dish or main course.
