These Cheddar Jalapeño Burgers are juicy and flavorful, featuring spicy jalapeños and melted cheddar cheese for a delicious twist on a classic favorite.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 jalapeños, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup finely diced onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce leaves (optional)
  • Tomato slices (optional)
  • Pickles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, combine ground beef, chopped jalapeños, diced onion, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty.
  4. Press a small indentation into the center of each patty to help cook evenly.
  5. Cook the patties for about 4 minutes on one side, then flip.
  6. Immediately sprinkle cheddar cheese on top and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until desired doneness.
  7. Toast the hamburger buns lightly on the grill or skillet.
  8. Assemble the burgers by placing patties on buns and adding lettuce, tomato, and pickles as desired.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For extra smoky flavor, try grilling the patties over charcoal and add a slice of crispy bacon as a delicious topping.
