  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Mix granulated sugar with 1 teaspoon cinnamon and sprinkle evenly over the batter.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares and serving.
