Alfredo Sauce

Rich and creamy Alfredo sauce made with butter, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese, perfect for enhancing pasta dishes with its velvety texture and decadent flavor.

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
  4. Reduce heat to low and gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy.
  5. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  6. Remove sauce from heat and stir in chopped fresh parsley if desired.
  7. Serve immediately over cooked pasta of your choice.

Notes

For an extra flavorful twist, add a pinch of nutmeg or a splash of white wine while simmering the cream.
