  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using, and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, then pour in the heavy cream and lemon juice, stirring constantly.
  6. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Return the shrimp to the skillet, tossing to coat them evenly in the creamy sauce.
  8. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
