Crock Pot Turkey Breast

Tender and juicy turkey breast slow-cooked to perfection in a crock pot, ideal for an easy and flavorful meal any day of the week.

  • 1 (3 to 4 pounds) boneless turkey breast
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped

Instructions

  1. Place the sliced onions, celery, and carrots at the bottom of the crock pot.
  2. In a small bowl, mix garlic, thyme, rosemary, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the turkey breast.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear the turkey breast on all sides until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Transfer the turkey breast to the crock pot on top of the vegetables.
  6. Pour the chicken broth around the turkey in the crock pot.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Remove turkey from crock pot and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  9. Serve warm with the cooked vegetables and pan juices.

Notes

For added flavor, baste the turkey with pan juices halfway through cooking, or add fresh herbs like sage or parsley before serving.
