This Crockpot BBQ Chicken is a tender, flavorful dish slow-cooked to perfection with tangy barbecue sauce, perfect for an easy and delicious weeknight dinner.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix barbecue sauce, chicken broth, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until chicken is tender and cooked through.
  5. Shred the chicken with two forks and stir it into the sauce.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired, over rice or on sandwich buns.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of apple cider vinegar or a few dashes of hot sauce before cooking.
