Introduction to Balsamic Vinaigrette

A simple and tangy balsamic vinaigrette that adds a perfect balance of acidity and sweetness to your salads and dishes.

  • 3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl or jar, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and honey until well combined.
  2. Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while whisking continuously to emulsify the dressing.
  3. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity as desired.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 10 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld. Shake or whisk again before using.
