Garlic Knots

Garlic Knots are soft, buttery bread knots brushed with a flavorful garlic and herb mixture, perfect as a savory appetizer or side dish to Italian meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Divide the pizza dough into 12 equal pieces and roll each piece into a 6-inch rope.
  3. Tie each rope into a loose knot and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake the knots for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  5. While the knots bake, combine melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  6. Remove knots from the oven and immediately brush them generously with the garlic butter mixture.
  7. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese, if using, then serve warm.

Notes

For an extra kick, sprinkle red pepper flakes on the garlic butter before brushing, or serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
