Garlic Olive Oil Dip

This Garlic Olive Oil Dip is a flavorful and fragrant blend of rich olive oil and roasted garlic, perfect as a dipping sauce for bread or drizzling over salads.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced or finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon freshly chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic and olive oil.
  2. Add the crushed red pepper flakes if using, lemon juice, sea salt, and black pepper. Stir well to blend all ingredients.
  3. Let the mixture sit at room temperature for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. Just before serving, stir in the chopped parsley if desired.
  5. Serve the dip with warm crusty bread, fresh vegetables, or as a drizzle over your favorite dishes.

Notes

For a deeper garlic flavor, gently warm the olive oil with garlic on low heat for 5 minutes before mixing, but do not cook or burn the garlic.
