Georgia cracker salad

Georgia cracker salad is a refreshing Southern no-cook dish combining fresh vegetables, creamy dressing, and crunchy crackers for a light and satisfying meal.

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup thinly sliced cabbage
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup crushed saltine crackers

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  2. Add cabbage, celery, green onions, and carrots to the dressing; toss gently to combine.
  3. Just before serving, fold in crushed saltine crackers to maintain their crunch.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld, then serve chilled.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of Dijon mustard to the dressing or top with chopped fresh dill before serving.
