These Honey-Drizzled Baklava Cheesecake Phyllo Cookies combine crisp phyllo layers with creamy cheesecake filling and a sweet honey glaze for a delightful fusion dessert.

  • 8 sheets phyllo dough, thawed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp honey, plus extra for drizzling
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, 2 tbsp honey, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until smooth.
  3. Brush a sheet of phyllo with melted butter and place on the baking sheet. Repeat with 3 more sheets, layering each with butter.
  4. Evenly spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the layered phyllo sheets.
  5. Sprinkle half of the chopped walnuts over the cream cheese layer.
  6. Add 4 more butter-brushed phyllo sheets on top, layering each with butter.
  7. Spread remaining cream cheese mixture and top with remaining walnuts.
  8. Finish with the last 4 butter-brushed phyllo sheets on top.
  9. Cut the layered phyllo into small cookie-sized squares.
  10. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden and crisp.
  11. Remove from oven and immediately drizzle with additional honey.
  12. Allow to cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar if desired, and serve.

Notes

For an extra crunch, toast the walnuts before chopping. These cookies pair wonderfully with a cup of strong coffee or tea.
