Honey Ricotta Pizza

A delightful and creamy Honey Ricotta Pizza featuring a crispy crust topped with fresh ricotta cheese, sweet honey drizzle, and fragrant herbs for a perfect balance of savory and sweet.

  • 1 pre-made pizza crust (10-12 inches)
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Place the pizza crust on a baking sheet or pizza stone and lightly brush with olive oil.
  3. Bake the crust for 5-7 minutes until it starts to crisp.
  4. Remove from the oven and evenly spread the ricotta cheese over the crust.
  5. Drizzle honey generously over the ricotta.
  6. Sprinkle fresh thyme leaves, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) on top.
  7. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 7-10 minutes until the edges are golden and cheese is slightly warmed.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a nuttier flavor, try adding a handful of toasted walnuts or a sprinkle of lemon zest before serving.
