This Jalapeno Popper Cheese Ball is a creamy, cheesy, and slightly spicy appetizer perfect for parties! It combines the flavors of classic jalapeno poppers into an easy-to-make, crowd-pleasing dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 ounces Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup pickled jalapenos, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons bacon bits
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup crushed pretzel crisps, for coating

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth and well combined.
  2. Stir in the chopped jalapenos, bacon bits, garlic powder, and onion powder. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the cheese ball to firm up.
  4. Remove the cheese mixture from the refrigerator. Form it into a ball shape.
  5. Place the crushed pretzel crisps in a shallow dish. Roll the cheese ball in the pretzels, pressing gently to ensure they adhere to the surface.
  6. Refrigerate the cheese ball for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  7. Serve with crackers, vegetables, or pretzels.

Notes

For a spicier cheese ball, use fresh jalapenos instead of pickled. Remove the seeds and membranes before chopping. You can also add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the cheese mixture.
