  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate graham cracker crumbs
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • For the Pecan Layer:
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Make the Chocolate Layer: In a medium bowl, combine chocolate graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, sugar, and salt. Press evenly into the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate.
  3. Make the Pecan Layer: In a separate bowl, whisk together brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt.
  4. Whisk in the eggs until smooth.
  5. Stir in the pecan halves.
  6. Pour the pecan mixture over the chocolate crumb crust.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the filling is set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
