This simple mustard greens recipe is a healthy and flavorful side dish. With just a few ingredients, you can transform these leafy greens into a delicious addition to any meal.

  • 1 pound mustard greens, washed and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) and cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  3. Add the chopped mustard greens to the skillet.
  4. Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth.
  5. Cover the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the greens are tender.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot.

Notes

A squeeze of lemon juice at the end adds a bright flavor.
