This Pineapple Pecan Cheese Ball is a sweet and savory appetizer perfect for any party! Cream cheese, pineapple, and pecans combine for a crowd-pleasing dish.

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, well drained
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, divided
  • 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onion
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Crackers, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the drained crushed pineapple, 1/4 cup chopped pecans, green bell pepper, green onion, and onion powder to the cream cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Mix all ingredients until well combined.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Remove the cheese mixture from the refrigerator.
  6. Spread the remaining 1/4 cup chopped pecans on a plate.
  7. Shape the cheese mixture into a ball and roll it in the pecans, pressing gently to adhere.
  8. Serve immediately with crackers or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

Serve with an assortment of crackers, pretzels, or even sliced vegetables for dipping. For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the cheese mixture.
