  • 2 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water. Add a pinch of salt.
  2. Bring to a boil and cook until potatoes are fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. While potatoes are cooking, melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and rosemary sprigs. Cook until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and discard rosemary sprigs.
  4. Drain potatoes and return them to the pot.
  5. Pour in the garlic-infused butter and milk.
  6. Mash the potatoes using a potato masher or electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
  7. Stir in sour cream, salt, and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For an extra creamy texture, use heavy cream instead of milk. You can also garnish with extra fresh rosemary sprigs before serving.
