Delicious Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Dip

This Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Dip is creamy, cheesy, and packed with the spicy kick of buffalo sauce. Perfect for game day or any gathering, it’s an easy appetizer everyone will love!

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup buffalo wing sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese (optional)
  • Green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Tortilla chips, celery sticks, or crackers, for serving

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. Pour the buffalo wing sauce and ranch dressing over the chicken.
  3. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese and blue cheese (if using) over the sauce.
  4. Place the softened cream cheese on top of the cheese.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through and easily shreds.
  6. Shred the chicken with two forks directly in the slow cooker. Stir everything together until well combined and creamy.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions.
  8. Serve hot with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or crackers.

Notes

For a thicker dip, add a slurry of cornstarch and water during the last 30 minutes of cooking. You can also use canned chicken to save time.
