Strawberry Pie

This classic strawberry pie is bursting with fresh, juicy strawberries in a sweet and tangy glaze. It’s the perfect summer dessert to share with friends and family.

  • 1 (9-inch) baked pie crust
  • 6 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Arrange half of the sliced strawberries in the baked pie crust.
  2. In a saucepan, whisk together sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
  3. Gradually stir in water until smooth.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and clear.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice and butter.
  6. Gently fold in the remaining sliced strawberries.
  7. Pour the strawberry mixture over the strawberries in the pie crust.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or until the filling is set.
  9. Serve chilled.
