A decadent Sugar Cookie Cheesecake combining the buttery sweetness of sugar cookies with creamy, rich cheesecake for an irresistible dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups sugar cookie crumbs
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract (optional)
  • Sugar cookies, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Combine sugar cookie crumbs and melted butter; press mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form crust.
  2. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar and continue beating until creamy.
  3. Add vanilla extract and almond extract if using, then mix in eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Blend in sour cream and heavy cream until smooth and well combined.
  5. Pour cheesecake batter over the crust in the springform pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 55-65 minutes, until the center is almost set but still slightly jiggly.
  7. Turn off oven and leave cheesecake inside with the door slightly open for 1 hour to cool gradually.
  8. Remove cheesecake from oven, chill in refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. Before serving, garnish with whole sugar cookies or cookie crumbles as desired.

Notes

For an extra festive touch, drizzle melted white chocolate over the cheesecake or add colorful sprinkles on top before chilling.
