Tahini Honey Poached Salmon

Delicately poached salmon infused with a creamy tahini and sweet honey sauce, offering a rich and nutritious dish perfect for a wholesome dinner.

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a shallow pan, combine tahini, honey, vegetable broth, lemon juice, minced garlic, and olive oil. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Place the salmon fillets into the pan with the sauce, skin side down if skin is on.
  4. Heat the pan over medium-low heat and cover.
  5. Allow the salmon to poach gently for about 10-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Carefully remove the salmon and place on serving plates.
  7. Increase heat and simmer the sauce for 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly, if desired.
  8. Pour the sauce over the salmon fillets and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For an extra layer of flavor, serve with roasted vegetables or a fresh cucumber salad for a refreshing contrast.
