Tomato Garlic Pasta

A simple and flavorful Tomato Garlic Pasta featuring fresh tomatoes and aromatic garlic, perfect for a quick and satisfying Italian-inspired meal.

  • 8 oz spaghetti or pasta of choice
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups fresh tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until fragrant and golden, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add the diced tomatoes and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tomatoes have softened and created a sauce.
  4. Season the tomato mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet with the tomato garlic sauce, mixing well to combine.
  6. Remove from heat, stir in fresh basil leaves.
  7. Serve warm, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

For added protein, try tossing in grilled chicken or shrimp. Serve with a side salad and crusty bread for a complete meal.
